Before you start
You need a paid Claude plan: Pro, Max, Ultra, Team or Enterprise. If you use Claude at work, your administrator may decide which plugins you can see or add, and the plugin directory only appears if your organization keeps it.
Add a plugin
Follow these steps once for each plugin.
- Open Claude on claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, and sign in.
- In the left sidebar, open Customize, then Plugins.
- Open the Discover tab to see the plugins available to you.
- Select a plugin to read what it contains, then select Add.
- Open the plugin’s Connectors tab. A connector shows Connected, Not connected or Not added. Connect the ones you want to use; adding a plugin does not sign you in to anything.
- Start a chat and describe the task, or type / in the message box and pick one of the plugin’s skills.
Use the plugin
In chat, describe the task and Claude loads the plugin’s skill when it matches. To choose one yourself, type / in the message box, then the plugin name or plugin-name:skill-name. In Cowork you can also type /plugin-name:command.
If a skill uses a connector, connect it first. A skill cannot reach that service until the connector shows Connected.
Use the Open in Claude button
On this site, the Open in Claude button on a plugin may take you straight to Claude to add it. For the others, it shows these same steps with the plugin’s name filled in.
Turn off, remove or update a plugin
Open the plugin from Customize > Plugins. Turn off its Disable plugin toggle to pause it, or open its menu and select Remove. Plugins from a marketplace or the directory update from their source, and you get new versions automatically.
If you use Claude Code, plugins you add in claude.ai sync to it when you sign in with the same account.
Questions people ask
- Why can’t I see the Plugins tab or the plugin I want?
- Plugins need a Pro, Max, Ultra, Team or Enterprise plan. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner chooses which sources members see, so the directory may be hidden or limited. Ask your administrator.
- How do I remove a Claude plugin?
- Go to Customize > Plugins, open the plugin, open its menu and select Remove. To pause it instead, turn off its Disable plugin toggle.
- Do I have to connect the services a plugin lists?
- Only if you want skills that use them. The plugin’s skills load either way, but a skill cannot reach a service until its connector shows Connected.
